about wild heather wellness
outdoorsy and inclusive wellness
Wild Heather Wellness is a nature-based wellness business, offering yoga classes, forest therapy, retreats, and corporate wellbeing sessions in Hebden Bridge, Calderdale, and Manchester… with plans to expand!
Founded by Heather Grant (she/ her), a qualified yoga teacher and CMA-accredited forest therapy practitioner, this is a space designed to help you slow down, quiet the noise, and reconnect with your wild, natural self.
We specialise in inclusive, accessible wellness experiences, creating supportive environments for LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent communities, while welcoming anyone seeking a more grounded, authentic approach to wellbeing.
Hey, I’m Heather (she/her), a yoga teacher, forest therapy practitioner, writer, and nature-lover.
After spending three years travelling across South East Asia and beyond, I’m now rooted in Hebden Bridge, offering grounding yoga sessions, immersive forest bathing experiences, wellness workshops, and retreats across Yorkshire and Manchester.
Wild Heather Wellness is the result of over a decade of self-discovery; learning how to move in ways that feel good for my brain and body, embracing my authentic self, and falling deeply in love with nature-based healing.
At the heart of everything I offer is a simple belief:
wellness should feel natural, nourishing, and genuinely good — not restrictive or performative.

Wild Heather Wellness has been years in the making, shaped by lived experience, adventures, and journals full of little ephanies.
Growing up, I struggled with panic attacks and sensory overwhelm. Everyday things often felt too much. This started to change when I discovered yoga at university and it became a gateway into spirituality, mindfulness, and self-awareness, on and off the mat.
But like many, I found myself caught in the pressure of the “perfect wellness” we see online. Think rigid routines, aesthetic ideals, and unrealistic expectations. Deep down, I knew that wasn’t it.
At 18, on my first solo trip to Greece, something clicked: wellness wasn’t about control, it was about connection.
Connection to:
Nature
Your body
Each other
Yourself
Over the next three years, I travelled solo across 13 countries, working as a freelance wellness writer and deepening my practice. I completed my 200-hour yoga teacher training in Bali, explored therapy, journaling, slower ways of living, and spent countless hours outdoors: hiking, camping, swimming, and simply being. When I returned home, I completed a CMA-accredited course in forest therapies.
And slowly, a new understanding formed:
We’re a part of nature, yet the modern world is pulling us away from that, in the ways we move, eat, act, and interact. It’s time to bring it back.
Wild Heather Wellness was born from that realisation.
