About...
WILD HEATHER WELLNESS
Hey, I'm Heather Grant (she/her), a qualified yoga teacher, trainee forest therapy practitioner, and freelance writer.
After three years floating around South East Asia, I'm now rooted back in Sale, Manchester, offering grounding yoga classes, forest therapy sessions, and outdoor events and retreats.
Wild Heather Wellness is the manifestation of over a decade of self-discovery: getting comfy with my authentic self and needs, finding movement that feels good for my brain and body, falling in love with the outdoors, and helping others do the same.
At the heart of it all is a deep love for nature, human nature, and the magic where they meet!

Here to help you....

Disconnect from external clutter
Step away from the daily sensory overwhelm and find space to breathe, reflect, and just be.
(if you have specific sensory needs, please feel free to inform me before any session!)

Connect with nature
Spend time outdoors, bathing the senses, to ground yourself, gain clarity, and feel part of something bigger.

Reconnect with your body & mind
Through movement and stillness, rediscover what it feels like to truly listen to yourself.
My Story
Hey I’m Heather!
I’m a yogi, solo traveller, runner, hiker, writer, nature-lover, AHDH-er, & queer human. Phew.
Wild Heather Wellness had been a long time in the making; a collision of little epiphanies, ideas, and adventures that have spanned my entire twenties.
After struggling with panic attacks throughout my teens - trying to sit still and process the constant stimuli that comes with school - I finally discovered yoga at University. From the moment I stepped on the mat, I fell in love, and the practice quickly escalated to an interest in mindfulness, movement, and spirituality on and off the mat.
At times, my new obsession drifted into a toxic relationship, tangled up with an aesthetic, squeaky clean, and strictly controlled version of wellness I so desperately tried to squeeze myself into. But I knew, even when I ignored it, that I was happiest when I embraced my wild, weird, and wonderful self.
It took my first solo travel trip to Greece at 18 to realise what wellness should really be about: spending time outside, sitting under trees, nourishing conversations, and moving with no other motive than to feel good.
Wellness shouldn’t be another stick to beat yourself with.
It should be about reconnecting with yourself, others, and the world around you.
Uni came to an end, and, after years wrapped in the blanket of academic validation, I started to realise I still didn't really have much of a clue who I was without it. Desperate to see the world, try out different lifestyles, and never have a ‘real’ job, I built a remote writing career.
I spent 3 years travelling across 13 countries, writing for health and wellness brands, deepening my practice, and eventually completing my 200-hour YTT in Bali. In that time, I also started to get comfy with my identity, interests, and needs, through ancient and esoteric routes, and simple rituals like therapy, journaling, and time alone outside.

Every barefoot walk, waterfall swims, and unfiltered conversation, nourished the seed. The more I connected with communities that lived in simple and sustainable ways, the more it sank in:
We’re a part of nature, yet the ways we’re living and moving and eating and interacting are so unnatural.
What if we took it all a little bit less seriously? What if we forgot the rules, and found what made us feel good?
When a life of wondering started to feel like being perpetually lost, I came home. I'd spent years gathering the materials, but it was time to make it manifest. It was time to stop moving, be where my feet are, and add the final ingredient to the mix: grounding. Simple, small, sustainable ways to find contentment. And that’s how Wild Heather Wellness was born:
An earthy, wholesome, and refreshingly uncomplicated approach to yoga and wellness.
