Neurodivergent Yoga Club
Thursdays | 12:30–1:30pm
Calderdale Yoga Centre
Have you ever left a yoga class feeling like everyone else seemed to know the rules except you?
This group class is designed for neurodivergent adults who are looking for a more flexible, understanding, and accommodating approach to yoga. Whether you identify with ADHD, Autism, Tourette's, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, sensory processing differences, or another form of neurodivergence, you are welcome here.
Rather than teaching to a diagnosis, I aim to teach to the individual. My approach combines lived experience and ongoing professional development through The Yoga Therapy Institute and Neurodiverse Yoga Directory. Most importantly, I recognise that you are the expert in your own mind and body.
Classes begin with a relaxed 15-minute arrival period where you can settle into the space, ask questions, socialise if you'd like, or simply take your time. You'll also complete an intake form before attending, giving you space to share any access needs, preferences, or concerns. The class itself includes a gentle grounding practice, meditation, and accessible yoga flow. Instructions are clear and direct, with plenty of wiggle room to participate in whatever way feels right for you.
Please note that this is a mixed-needs group, where I will do my best to accommodate differing needs. If you think a smaller group or 1:1 yoga session is a better fit, please book here.
Yoga for Neurodiversity
My classes blend elements of Gentle Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin, and Yin Yang Yoga. My teaching is heavily influenced by my training in forest therapy, and I use somatic cueing to help you develop a deeper awareness of your body from the inside out.
Rather than focusing on achieving the "perfect pose", my classes encourage curiosity, self-compassion, and finding what feels good for you.
